Billing

Sewer Service Fees

Funding for the Kremmling Sanitation District's wastewater collection and treatment systems is primarily through monthly user fees. The District bills all properties located within its boundaries, approximately the same as the Town of Kremmling, each month according to the fee schedule. The District's Board of Directors annually adopts the fee schedule based on the actual cost of providing services.

Billing is based on the single unit equivalent (SUE). The vast majority of the District's users are single-family homes, and each single-family home is one SUE. Properties are classified based on use as either residential or commercial.

The Town of Kremmling provides domestic water services. The District has partnered with the Town to provide a single consolidated monthly utility bill, which includes Town utilities, domestic water, and trash collection, and the sanitation user fee.

 Tap Fees

If you are building something new, making a renovation, or changing the use of your property, then you may be subject to a tap fee. Tap fees are due at the time of connecting to (tapping) the sewer mainline. The fee pays for the District's costs related to new development and changes in property use. Tap fees must be paid prior to the issuance of a connection permit.

Before a property owner can make a new connection to the sewer main line or modify an existing connection to the sewer main line, the District must conduct a development evaluation to ensure conformance with the District's development standards and specifications.

The tap fee is collected one time, at the time of issuance of the connection permit. Tap fees are adopted annually by the District's Board of Directors based on a calculation of the impact of new development on the District's wastewater collection and treatment system. The tap fee is incorporated into the fee schedule

To apply for a connection permit, pay a tap fee, or other development-related questions, contact the District Manager by phone at (970) 724-3249 or email sanmanager@townofkremmling.org
